Surface Acoustic Control of Single Silicon Vacancy Spins in Diamond

We use surface acoustic waves to drive coherent Rabi oscillations of individual silicon vacancy spins in diamond. Rabi frequencies as high as 48 MHz are obtained with 4 mW input power. Ramsey interferometry is used to measure a spin coherence of 29 ns at a temperature of 5.8 Kelvin.
