Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāWe show that changing the spontaneous emission rate of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond through Purcell enhancement can modify the optical readout signal-to-noise ratio for electron spins. We study the effect experimentally with single NV centers in bulk diamond.
