The photoelectric properties of a 3D TiO 2 /diamond ultraviolet (UV) detector that uses symmetrical Pd Schottky electrodes are investigated. Because of the back‐to‐back Schottky contact between Pd and TiO 2 , the detector exhibits an extremely low dark current of 0.25 pA at 10 V. When the illuminating light wavelength is shorter than 260 nm, the photocurrent first increases and then decreases with the increase in the voltage, displaying a differential negative photoconductivity. Therefore, the responsivity in the deep UV region, which corresponds to a diamond photoresponse, increases at a low voltage whereas decreases at a high voltage. At 2 V, the responsivity reaches a maximum value of 5.32 mA W −1 at 215 nm and the 215/600 nm rejection ratio reaches 2 × 10 3 .
