Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāIntegrated quantum photonic circuits is an emerging area that requires efficient coupling of quantum light sources to waveguides and optical resonators. So far, much effort is devoted to developing on-chip systems from 3D crystals such as diamond or gallium arsenide. In this work, room-temperature operation of quantum emitters in on-chip photonic waveguides and cavities is demonstrated using single photon emitters embedded in layered hexagonal boron nitride. The results serve as foundation for integrating layered materials to on-chip components and realizing integrated quantum photonic circuitry.
