Current sensors are widely used in industrial, for example, they play an important role in electricity billing and protect. Traditional current sensors have the problems of huge size and weight, high risk of insulation breakdown, poor response for high-frequency harmonics, ferromagnetic resonance and eddy current effects, and they lead to potential dangers in application. Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) color center is a kind of point defect in diamond, which emits fluorescence under laser irradiation, while microwave frequency and magnetic field strength will influence the intensity of fluorescence from NV color center. We can realize magnetic field measurement with high precision based on this feature. This article applies the NV color center magnetic sensor to the current sensor design, we proposes the design of the current sensor, and discusses the approach to application. We achieve ±0.3% accuracy in current measurement, which leads to a new degree of freedom for the design of current sensor.
