Abstract
Section titled “Abstract”The electrochemical conversion of aqueous carbonate solutions at boron-doped diamond anodes provides access to an unique oxidizer. The key aspects for a highly efficient electrosynthesis requires a splendid heat dissipation and high concentration of the alkali carbonates. With reaching almost molar concentrations of peroxodicarbonates a novel reactivity is achieved. [1] This green reagent allows direct epoxidation, S- and N-oxidations, oxidative deborolations and many more useful transformations including the selective Kraft lignin oxidation.
