Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāThis paper presents the method to evaluate the fast neutron energy spectrum under mixed radiation field using the single crystal CVD diamond detector. The pulse shape discrimination based on the shape and width of the pulse was applied to extract the event in which fast neutron hits at a specific depth of the single crystal diamond. Unfolding of the measured energy deposition spectrum induced by extracted pulses could deduce the neutron energy spectrum. An experiment using 14.1 MeV mono-energetic neutron source demonstrated the reliable capability of this method to evaluate the neutron energy spectrum quantitatively.
