Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāNitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond are highly promising for applications such as magnetic field and temperature sensing. Precise determination of NV depth within the diamond is crucial for optimizing its performance. Current depth characterization methods are often destructive or require complex procedures. In this study, we present experimental validation of a numerical model, which establishes a correlation between the radiative lifetime of NVs and their depth from the diamond interface.
