Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāIncreasing the request for ultra-high-speed communications and high data rates has led to the develop of sixth-generation (6G) wireless communication systems, which make use of the 0.1-10 THz frequency range to meet this demand. The graphene advantages in antenna realization with acceptable performance have been studied in this work. The antenna consists of a diamond-shaped graphene patch and a gold microstrip feed line with different slots. The variations in the graphene Fermi energy level, leading to a regulated graphene chemical potential, are significant as they are controlled by an exterior electric field specifically a DC voltage bias. The antenna offers a reflection coefficient of approximately -26 dB along with the acceptable radiation characteristics, maximum directivity of 5.5 dB, and VSWR of 1.1 dB at 860 GHz.
