Abstract
Section titled āAbstractāAbstract The purpose of the work is to develop a mathematical model of the formation of the height parameters of the roughness of the processed surface R a and R max of products made of materials of increased hardness during diamond grinding and, on this basis, to select the parameters of the diamond grinding mode. It was established that the R a parameter can be reduced by using a deep grinding scheme with a low speed of the processed part. At the same time, the grinding depth and processing performance can be significantly increased without increasing the R a parameter. On this basis, an effective technological process of deep diamond electroerosion grinding of the bevel of the gas distribution valve of the internal combustion engine (with a wear-resistant coating of high-strength powder material PG-10N-01 with a hardness of HRC 60ā¦62) was developed using optimal parameters of the grinding mode: grinding depth 0.6 mm; speed of the processed part 0.6 m/min; specific productivity of processing 360 mm 2 /min. This made it possible to increase the processing productivity by up to 2 times compared to traditional abrasive grinding, ensure the reduction of the parameter R a to the required level and improve the processing quality.
