Prospective schemes of low-voltage buffer amplifiers (BA) with low static current of consumption (I p ) on the basis of so-called “diamond” composite transistors are considered. These BAs are designed for video distribution systems, coaxial line drivers, analog-to-digital converters, etc. To reduce Ip at high load current an adaptive linear (or nonlinear) emitter current control of input transistors attached to the amplitude of the input voltage of the buffer amplifier (BA) is proposed. Mathematical justification of the key parameters of the BA is done, results of the computer modeling in PSpice of JSC “SPE Pulsar” transistors (Moscow) are given to show that at I p =20-30 °A, the maximum current of loading (I load.max ) reaches tens °A. For assessment of quality of BA of the considered class it is recommended to use I load.max relation to a static current of consuming of I p .
